FULL FACE SCUBA MASK for Double Hose - Very Old, Very Odd - Hard to find!
I have several different Vintage Full Face Masks listed. This is one of the most interesting
I can find no name or marking anywhere - not on the frame, skirt or straps.
This mask doesn't look to have been used very much. There are very few scratches & no other marks on the chrome.
The glass is perfect & it has a wonderful Wrap-Around view. It reminds me of my '56 Buick Special!
The skirt is made from soft, thin rubber. It must have been very comfortable to wear.
Unfortunately, it had not been stored well so the rubber has deteriorated badly. It cannot be used in this condition.
The straps too are pretty much useless, all there, and the buckles look good, but the straps wouldn't work.
This mask is for double hose only. It's perfect for cold water, dirty water or long dives.
It is designed for light commercial work but any diver wanting Full Face protection will love it.
Like many Full Face masks, it also has a unique mouthpiece to which the regulator is attached. It's on a long tube so the diver can grip it in his mouth.
This will help to avoid Carbon Dioxide build-up. And this tube can b
e taken off the mask without removing the regulator.
It's a really nice, very old and odd Full Face mask in not great condition but great for display.
This NOT the one that Mike Nelson of Sea Hunt used but it is similar.
