Kanouse Spring Water embossed bottle stopper Oakland NJ molded ground 1890s NICE

For your consideration: a Kanouse of Oakland, NJ ground glass molded bottle stopper. This would have fit a six-pint type mineral water bottle. Embossed in a stylized font which enlarges toward the center of the name perspectively: "Kanouse". The bottom portion which would be inserted into the bottle has a ground-down projection as seen. It was recovered in a North Jersey household dump excavation about 15 years ago. It is in good dug condition with some ground haze and a bit of nibbling to the glass on the underside of the cap lid edge as seen in the images. No cracks. It displays great but would go even better with the appropriate bottle. That bottle can be seen in the last image which has been borrowed from the Sodas and Beers website. This auction is for the pictured glass stopper only. It measures" 1 7/8" x 1 1/16" at bottom x 1 7/8" at top.
