    Gmeinder 15/18 diesel locomotive
The light rail locomotive corresponds to a type that was manufactured using this construction principle by the Baden company Gmeinder from the mid-twenties. The locomotive was produced in large numbers up until the 1950s and is partly still in use today due to its robustness. The prototype of the light rail locomotive is named »Gmeinder 15/18« (15 HP continuous power / 18 HP short-term power) according to its horsepower output and is driven by a diesel engine with three-speed gearbox and chain drive at a maximum speed of 12 km / h. The track width is 600 mm.
As with the prototype, the locomotive models are available as variants with an open and closed driver's cab. The small locomotives are driven by a 3 volt micro-precision motor with gear reduction for prototypical slow travel and strong tractive power. A built-in magnet increases the pressure of the locomotive on the metal-backed narrow-gauge tracks, thus guaranteeing safe power consumption from the rails and smooth slow travel. The locomotives have a coupling pin on the back of the driver's cab for realistic train formation and a magnetic coupling for operation with lorries and wagons from the Busch mine railway range. As in the original, the light rail locomotive can drive on the smallest track radii (up to 100 mm). Due to its compact design and the small footprint, it can also be used very well to design dioramas and to supplement existing model railway systems.
Shipping costs are borne by the buyer.
