insurance. We have enjoyed shipping our items all over the world and are happy to offer most of our items to international buyers. Yet insuring International parcels is very expensive so PLEASE NOTE; we do
NOT
insure International orders unless winning buyer specifically requests this and we are able to provide an insurance quote. We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and send payment acknowledgments and shipping confirmations. Your prompt payment will assure a very quick turn-around time.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If our shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what
YOU
pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the
ACTUAL
shipping costs! This is especially important for foreign buyers as most of our foreign shipping charges are rough estimates.
You normally see these bottles in the larger quart size. They look EXACTLY like this bottle but are larger and some are also embossed "
SAXLEHNER'S / BITTERQUELLE / HUNYADI / JANOS
" on the base. The bottles are normally found with a peculiar oddity, they appear with very heavy 'whittle marks' in the glass, a term used to identify the beautiful wavy, windy, patterns in the glass that add quite a bit of character to a bottle. Though 'whittle marks' is the term used to describe this condition, 'whittle marks' is not an accurate term as these bottles were NOT blown into wooded molds. It has been discovered that the 'whittle marks' were actually created at the beginning of the work day at the glass works where the bottles were made.
W
hen the first bottles of the day were blown into a mold and the
hot molten glass hit the cold iron mold, a reaction took place that would create these "whittle marks" in the glass, a
texture which in today's world, translates into a totally beautiful bottle.
This example is no different, it is chalk full of whittle marks,
a prime example. When the sunlight hits this bottle, it just comes to life with all of the whittle marks inter-acting with the light,
